Kidney Stone Diet Restrictions. Most kidney stones (
approximately 90% ) are composed of calcium
oxalate. People prone to forming calcium oxalate stones may be
asked by their doctor to cut back on certain foods on this list.
Diet restrictions for those with kidney stone formation may help
avoid repeat episodes of renal colic, or ureterolithiasis which
is a painful condition that occurs when a kidney stone gets
stuck in the tube that leads from the kidney to the
bladder.
